Getouttamyway, a Mike Recio/Rockbridge Bloodstock juvenile purchase, scored her second victory in four outings on November 29 at Laurel Park.
The 2-year-old daughter of leading first crop sire Cross Traffic captured her debut going 6-furlongs at Parx on September 10 and endured a wide trip when 4th next out over the same course & distance. After a better-than-it-looked 4th in another sprint at Laurel on October 27 Gettouttamyway was ready to roll when stretched out to 1 1/16 miles.
Sent off at 5-2, the bay filly sped straight to the front, clicking off comfortable early fractions of :24.49 and :48.95. Showing the way into the lane, the dark bay sailed clear to a 4 3/4-length success over Gotta Be Strong.
Gettouttamyway was purchased earlier this year by Mike Recio’s Rockbridge Bloodstock for owner Happy Tenth Stable. Her $87,000 price tag made her the second highest-priced juvenile filly by Cross Traffic this year.
